Also, one of the best marketing ideas to promote your blog to make money online, is by word of mouth. Ask friends and relatives to promote your blog or website. But before you ask them to spread the word, make sure to ask them if they have any feedbacks and how you could improve your website. Even the best and top blogs/ websites still have room for improvement.

I have been scarce online these past several months.  Chuck Bartok called me the other day to check up on me. It’s just what caring online marketers do… and how bonding relationships are built online.

I have been quite busy offline dealing with life.  It has been a tough year thus far, but every negative I have encountered over the last several months has had a positive silver lining. I simply had to be patient and look.

As was posted in a previous article here at You Can Build It, it is very easy to become overwhelmed, especially when you add the regular grind of daily life.  Don’t get me wrong, I live for the daily grind, it’s just that sometimes the decisions you make and the curves life throws at you can “interfere” with plans and goals that  you have set.

Early in the year, my mother in law lost a sudden battle with cancer. It was quick, but still painful to experience. My wife hasn’t taken it so well, though time has begun to heal the emptiness. You see, she was but 55 years old… in my wife’s eyes to young to die. Unfortunately, as many have experienced, there is no certainty for the amount of time we are here for this life.

To help in her recovery, my wife decide she needed to get back in to teaching. She is a special education teacher, and its a wonderful opportunity to give back to those less fortunate. She accepted a position outside of Atlanta, GA. which meant we had to move. No problem…

I work only part-time as a over the road truck driver. I do this to supplement my online income which does not produce enough to live the lifestyle to which we are comfortable. Unfortunately, for her to change her career plans, she would need to quit her current job, and I would have to work full time in order for us to get moved, settled and her to prepare for her new position.

Now, as you can imagine this seriously hindered my online goals, and where I had planned to be come end of the year. I had already made arrangements to change servers for my sites and with 26 domains, that would be no easy task from the road. Yet, because I love my wife and want whats best for her… I agreed and decided I would do the best I could to keep my goals and time line intact.

Well, we are now in Atlanta, and getting settled. She starts her new position next week and I have fallen so far behind in my online duties I felt I would never recover. My main websites have been transferred to the new sever, but

Getting to the GOAL

many of the smaller ones still lie in limbo, as I just haven’t had the time or energy to get them working properly. Frustration has set in, and there was a time or two in the last month where I felt like throwing in the towel and giving it all up. Yet, there were my goals still posted in notes on my computer desktop.

You see, I am one of those people who constantly look at the goals that I set. It helps me focus and work hard to make sure they are achieved. Looking over them, I knew there was no way I was going to get where I wanted by the path I had chosen. So I knew I had to look for that silver lining. Something that would still help to achieve some of my end of year goals by going a somewhat different direction than I had originally planned. I think I have found that path and will do what is necessary to get back into the groove. I have simply rewritten the direction of travel to achieve my goal of where I want my online business to be by years end.

Surprisingly, I see opportunity in my online business… offline. What a great opportunity to be a website designer and have the ability to host websites in the Atlanta metro area. So now my short term goals include a little door knocking. A little face to face PR to build my business in a way I never thought possible before. I now have a fantastic opportunity to build, host, and advertise websites for not just online entrepreneurs, which was my previous target. I now see opportunity to expand that to current offline business owners! That. I believe is my silver lining to not only get me back on track, but actually go above and beyond that which I had previously set as goals for my business.

Frustration can lead to inspiration if you open your mind and look for opportunity!

So, what is my point in all this babbling? Don’t give up! When life throws you a curve, learn from it and move on. Don’t let your frustrations get you down, but instead allow them to inspire you on to bigger and better things. Change is always scary, yet it always brings new challenges and opportunities. Meet them head on, and let your conscience be your guide.

Never sacrifice your family for your goals. Goals can be changed and replaced… your loved ones can not! Chances are if you put and keep them first, you will succeed more than if you put yourself and your personal goals first. Always consider your families wants and desires into your goals. There is a happy medium in offline life and online marketing. That silver lining is always there, lurking under those negative circumstances. Don’t be afraid to look for it.

• Address the individual you’d like to make friends with by his or her name. This demonstrates that you are interested in getting to know them.

• Be a beneficial listener.

• Build upon common ground, such as pastimes or hobbies.

• Present compliments when required. People always appreciate positive feedback.

What is the fundamental research?

1. Who are the people running the company .

2. How long have they been in business?

3. Is the product or service in demand?

4. Does the pay plan have credibility, meaning does it make sense?

Also check the Watchdog Sites, such as MLM Watchdog , Consumer Fraud Reporting . Also familiarize yourself  (join) Direct Selling Association (DSA)

Credibility is essential when it comes to being in business. One of the bad things about changing your direction is that each time you do you loose some of your credibility

Same goes for people that are running a company.

If they left the company to move onto better things and were as they put it ” On top of their game” Then that is great , however if it were because they just lost everything due to mismanagement or just outright greed than think twice about joining forces with them . You don’t want to be another casualty from their bad behavior. And also in some situations you can be held accountable for your actions in bringing in others to the business venture.
So short and sweet,

Hold yourself personally accountable for what you are telling others, even if it means you will be doing a background check on the latest greatest thing to hit the world since sliced bread.

If a company is credible you will always have time to check them out. If they won’t give you the time to check them out than PLEASE Start running in the other direction, this information comes from personal experience.

As experts continue to develop ways for human improvements, they have designed an artificial intelligence system that signifies a new stage in evolution. Artificial intelligence is the intelligence of machines—a very high level of advanced technology. Recently, AIs are popular themes for sci-fi films.

The artificial intelligence is based on three fundamental premises. The first one is the current understanding of the functional algorithms of intelligence. One popular term in artificial intelligence is the recursive self-improvement program. There are several ways to achieve such goal. Examples of these means are hasting up or adding new components to the hardware, redesigning the cognitive architecture, and custom-designing specialized modules for recurring tasks to name a few. This program is fully reprogrammable and really fast.

Apparently, enhancing the hardware components of intelligence is not yet created especially experts have still debated on the exact meaning of intelligence. However, they are positive on such idea because cognitive science and the laws of physics seem to theoretically permit it. A concept of minimum threshold for intelligence has already been raised in the beginning of this academic endeavor. There are several debates put forth against recursive self-improvement. But many experts believe the imminence of this program as many technologies on biotech, medicine, and cognitive science continue to appear.

One expert on artificial intelligence have said such system can be achieved in a virtual environment within 20 to 30 years based on today’s high-resolution brain scanner and high-density storage facilities for recording. This estimation has of course overlooked the possibilities of political and social changes such as political turmoil, repressive governments, upcoming improved technologies, advances in cognitive science and qualitative improvements in scanning facilities to name a few.

The success of recursive self-improvement programs is dependent on sufficiency of an AI’s intelligence. Recursive self-improvement will begin a new era for different aspects of science and life. Many see the looming recursive self-improvement as an era of complexity and flexibility of mind.

But such advancement in science did not escape scrutiny and suffered setbacks. It was even frowned upon the same way the artificial intelligence is. Notable oppositions have already been raised in the debate. But no doubt, such concept is both a challenge and inspiration for philosophy and study of human field.

How I improved my Alexa ranking

If you’d asked me earlier this year where my Alexa ranking stood for my blog, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you. In fact, I probably would’ve looked at you funny and asked, “What’s an Alexa ranking?”

Being the social media fanatic that I am, however, I was hearing enough about Alexa that about four weeks ago I finally took the initiative to find out what it was and what bearing it had on me as an online marketer. Turns out it’s something that’s pretty essential; simply put, Alexa ranks websites based on their traffic. If you are an online marketer, your website should at the least be ranked in the top one million.

As of May 19th, my Alexa ranking was at 4,235,350 for my blog. I immediately started looking for ways to improve this number. I browsed through several online articles for tips that would help me accomplish this. I read one marketer’s blog that said I should post articles to my website at least three times a day for a month to see quick results. Three times a day was a stretch for me, so I started blogging daily instead, whereas I’d previously been blogging only once every two weeks or so. My ranking moved up to 3,678,600 after about ten days.

It was at approximately the 10-day mark when Chuck Bartok told me about a WordPress plugin that would help my ranking improve even faster. I installed the All in One SEO Pack to my blog right away. What a difference this plugin made! If you are a WordPress user as many of us are, you will want to install it and go back to edit all of your previous posts if you want your ranking to improve faster. This only takes a matter of seconds for each one. Add the title, a brief description, and the appropriate keywords.

In addition to blogging daily and adding keywords to the SEO plugin, I also joined a free blog syndication group on Facebook known as the Tribe Syndication Association. By becoming a member of this group, I agreed to comment on (syndicate) other members’ blogs on a given day of each week, and they do the same for me in exchange. It’s a great way to gain new traffic and start getting quality comments on your blog articles from like-minded people.

Now in the second week of June, my Alexa ranking for my main site stands at about 2,300,000. (Increase 1,378,600 in a week) My goal is to be in the top million by the end of this month. By blogging daily, working the plugin, and commenting on other blogs, I feel this is a completely reasonable goal. What are some methods that YOU have used to improve your rankings?

Don’t forget to prompt them to leave their names and e-mail addresses because they are basically what you need!
• Use the contact forms. This is indeed one practical and effective technique to build a list.

Most Bloggers make use of this, but it can likewise be utilized on some static websites. So What’s the Point?

It’s become very evident to me that a vast majority of people whom I have had the privilege of interacting with really don’t GET the point of what a mastermind alliance is for, why they need one, or what to do with it when they find one.  First, when we are talking about a “Mastermind” typically the person is not talking about everyone just listening to what some guru of some field has to say.  A mastermind is supposed to be a GROUP, and not a group of groupies!   So why am I going to focus on ways to get you kicked out?  Well, my hope is that you never do the four things I’m about to tell you.

1.) Focus intently on just your needs

I don’t know about you, but I have got to admit that I really have an issue with people who use the word “I” too many times in a conversation.  (Previous statement written purposely to prove the point.)   When you find that you are the center of your universe it’s time to stop and reflect on what’s truly important in life, what are you doing, and start to ask the big questions.  If you are only living to please yourself or to serve self – I’m deeply sorry for your empty shallow existence. Zig Zigler sums it up, “You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” It start by helping others get what they want!

2.) Expect the Mastermind to do it for you

Your mastermind is there to tell you how they did it, what worked or didn’t work for them, but by no means is it an outsourcing service.  Please don’t expect, or demand someone to do anything for you.  You may feel that because of the invest that is required in some Mastermind Alliances that you should receive some level of service – unless that is the case, and you also signed up for additional “Done For You” Service – expect nothing but a person to listen and help direct you.

3.) Demand everyone in the Mastermind to give you everything

This may as well be an extension of number two – but if you signed up for just all of the bonus and freebies.  Please do us all a favor, download everything and move on with your life.  I know that may sound really harsh – but the faster you can download all of the carefully planned out resources (that you know that you’ll never use) the faster we can move on to the people who will actually work the systems that we talk about.

Do you think that we just sat around on our time off to dream up more stuff that we can give you?  Because I have something (that I paid for) and you need it – does that mean that you shouldn’t pay for it too?  Please, stop for a moment and really think about that.

4.) Constantly Beg for FREE WORK

Your mastermind is not a source for FREE LABOR!!! This is by far my biggest and most upsetting point.  I’m a Father of Four of the most adorable and wonderful kids in this world.  I cherish my time, I guard it very diligently (I’m getting better about it at least) so every moment of my time is monetized.  If you want a partition of said time – it will cost you.  I have a rate card, if you’d like a copy please email me – as I’d be happy to send it to you.  Here’s the thing – I DON’T WORK FOR FREE.  Ever!  With that said – if you are a part of the Mastermind that I’m a part of,  I’m radically and extremely committed to see you succeed!  While I don’t work for free – I am here to help you choose what path is best for you and your business.  If it means that I spend a few moments passing emails with you – so be it, but don’t expect for me to work for FREE!

I’ll also add here that I don’t do deals with differed payment – unless I have a signed contract, and I don’t do speculation work.  Why am I preaching so very hard about this point?  It’s not because I’ve been burned (I have), it’s because I have a high regard for the one resource that God gave me that I cannot see a refund on – MY TIME!  Time that I’ve spent on free projects have stolen time away from my wife and kids, and I don’t like the way that I feel when that happens.

I know that these cannot be the only things that may or not get you booted from a mastermind group – I don’t want for this to just be a grip session.  (Please call no one out in the comments)
