Blogs and social media have dominated the Internet since I arrived 6 years ago and it was through the creation of a lot of Content, I was able to create a positive Marketing environment for my niche products. I believe the Blog Content is King

According to Chris Marentis in a Blog Post on D&B’s All Business Blog:
One SEO boosting technique we’ve found that does make a significant difference in search engine rankings is posting keyword rich, relevant, and recent content.

One company found this to be true by inadvertently testing it on their business. The company already knew that posting this type of content was an important tactic to add to its online marketing arsenal, but until dealing with a sudden and unexpected personnel shift, it didn’t know how much of an impact it really had on search engine rankings.

In August of this year, the company’s SEO report showed them ranking on the first page of Google for the majority of their 20 keywords. However, they dropped to the second and third page of rankings for the month of October. Why?

When looking at what changed, or what they’d done differently, they realized that the only change was the fact that they hadn’t posted the typical 20 – 30 monthly blogs and articles for the month of September because of a lag due to the personnel change.

Well, those of us who manage our own Business Blogs have no excuse really, except a lack of Prioritization of the importance of producing Content for our Business Blogs. If you notice the date of this Blog and the most recent behind it you will see this Blogger has been remiss and his traffic and sales reflected a lovely downward spiral!!

Our survey at Facebook showed the majority read 5 Blogs or Less Weekly. Ever since reading the statistics from Hubspot and the impact of reading other blogs within my Niche, I have increased my reading regularly about 10-20 Blogs weekly.

This has helped me with Blog content ideas, a deeper understanding of what my Niche Markets are interested in and the opportunity to develop solid relationships with like Minded Business Persons, especially through the comment process.

As mentioned in previous posts, I subscribe to Blogs, usually found through setting up Google Alerts for relevant keywords, and then send them to My iGoogle Page, affording a quick Morning review of “What has Happened” in my areas of interest in the past 24 hours

the nemesis of all Bloggers?

Ever hear yourself say, ‘My blog failing”?

“I can’t produce

Quality Blog Content”

I did this weekend.

Could not get going on producing any exciting content for this blog and couple other Niche Blogs in Gardening, Crafting and Business Mindset. I opened each blog dashboard, went to create new post, read my outline and just could not put anything together. Frustration time and a sense of Failure began to creep into my normal Positive personality.

How do I change direction?

Pulled out one of my spiral notebooks on blogging and remembered reading how others solved the problem. Here are Three Steps that stood out and helped me get back on track, and produce some quality Blog Content.

#1 Remember you are not writing War and Peace or any other magnificent Classic Volume

Your readers are looking for information to solve THEIR problems (quickly) and will enjoy clarity, with brevity, more than painstaking proper wordage and long explanations. I am finding blog posts about 200-300 words better received than long dissertation. If you have more to say create more posts on same subject. Obvious benefit there…More fresh content for the search robots

#2 Get Motivated by READING the blogs of others in your Niche.

Your existing subscribers and new readers are arriving at your blog through three main sources, Direct Referral, Search Engines and Backlinks from Referring Sites. If you READ the blog content of others, in your niche, you will naturally become motivated to write a complimentary article (good to refer back). Keep a sharp eye on what key words are being sought through the Search Engines. I personally think TOO much emphasis is focused on KEYWORDsmithing. It seems to stifle the natural writing flow.

I use Google Alerts to keep a steady flow of Quality BLOG content about my favorite Niches and their relevant Keywords, and also start the Day looking at my subscribed Blogs on my iGoogle page, shown below.

Take a little time and READ these blogs and note the syntax and flow, especially on those Blogs with high page ranking. (Leaving relevant comments is VERY much encouraged). Another stimulation might be for you to write a post in contradiction or support of the other Blog Topic.

#3. Be sure to include references to some of those other Quality Blog posts that motivated you!

Taking the time to research other content just deserves some recognition to those who “helped ” release your writer’s block. So you should consider mentioning their article in your post with a hyperlink. You do not want your post to be a Linkfest but choosing one or two links to relevant posts can be very beneficial. Also a good idea to contact the author and let them know you did…

This is a good way to generate comments and develop relationships with like minds.

One of the biggest problems people have with blogging has nothing to do with the lack of traffic coming to their site.
It’s a symptom of something more sinister.

Bad Blog Content.

Even worse then poorly written original content is content that is not original at all. This is the death bell for all blogs that want to be taken seriously.

You HAVE to have unique content. It is the lifeblood of blogging. Every other blog is lacking in original content, you have to be different

The best way to get unique blog content is to write new unique content. This is not very hard, but for some this may be time consuming and they may not want to. The easiest way to get unique content is to combine various free articles and edit them for new articles.

There’s many more, all you need to do is search for Free Articles in Google, you will get a load of articles. You can search for specific articles such as Free Dog Articles. Once you have a few articles about the same topic you just need to combine it and make it unique

Sure, keyword stuffed articles that make no sense will probably send traffic your way, but it’s not realistic traffic, and when those people realize that you actually have nothing to say, they’ll be gone as quickly as they arrived…….

Recursive Self-improvement: a Looming Advancement in Artificial Intelligence

As experts continue to develop ways for human improvements, they have designed an artificial intelligence system that signifies a new stage in evolution. Artificial intelligence is the intelligence of machines—a very high level of advanced technology. Recently, AIs are popular themes for sci-fi films.

The artificial intelligence is based on three fundamental premises. The first one is the current understanding of the functional algorithms of intelligence. The second vital premise is cognitive science experiments. This includes the present knowledge of the brain, which can be acquired through the high-resolution of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). It is the latest technology to date that gives greater contrast between various soft tissues of the body. Also the artificial intelligence is based on the kind of computing available to AI designers.

Still a theory, the artificial intelligence system is impossible with human’s current biological structure and the current technological system. Neuroscientists are yet to construct techniques to genuinely enhance intelligence and apply to more intelligence enhancement techniques.

One popular term in artificial intelligence is the recursive self-improvement program. According to several studies, recursive self-improvement is “the ability of a mind to genuinely improve upon its own intelligence.” Worth noting is that intelligence itself is hard to define. There are several ways to achieve such goal. Examples of these means are hasting up or adding new components to the hardware, redesigning the cognitive architecture, and custom-designing specialized modules for recurring tasks to name a few. This program is fully reprogrammable and really fast.

Apparently, enhancing the hardware components of intelligence is not yet created especially experts have still debated on the exact meaning of intelligence. However, they are positive on such idea because cognitive science and the laws of physics seem to theoretically permit it. A concept of minimum threshold for intelligence has already been raised in the beginning of this academic endeavor. There are several debates put forth against recursive self-improvement. But many experts believe the imminence of this program as many technologies on biotech, medicine, and cognitive science continue to appear.

One expert on artificial intelligence have said such system can be achieved in a virtual environment within 20 to 30 years based on today’s high-resolution brain scanner and high-density storage facilities for recording. This estimation has of course overlooked the possibilities of political and social changes such as political turmoil, repressive governments, upcoming improved technologies, advances in cognitive science and qualitative improvements in scanning facilities to name a few.

The success of recursive self-improvement programs is dependent on sufficiency of an AI’s intelligence. Recursive self-improvement will begin a new era for different aspects of science and life. Many see the looming recursive self-improvement as an era of complexity and flexibility of mind.

But such advancement in science did not escape scrutiny and suffered setbacks. It was even frowned upon the same way the artificial intelligence is. Notable oppositions have already been raised in the debate. But no doubt, such concept is both a challenge and inspiration for philosophy and study of human field.

How I improved my Alexa ranking

If you’d asked me earlier this year where my Alexa ranking stood for my blog, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you. In fact, I probably would’ve looked at you funny and asked, “What’s an Alexa ranking?”

Being the social media fanatic that I am, however, I was hearing enough about Alexa that about four weeks ago I finally took the initiative to find out what it was and what bearing it had on me as an online marketer. Turns out it’s something that’s pretty essential; simply put, Alexa ranks websites based on their traffic. If you are an online marketer, your website should at the least be ranked in the top one million.

As of May 19th, my Alexa ranking was at 4,235,350 for my blog. I immediately started looking for ways to improve this number. I browsed through several online articles for tips that would help me accomplish this. I read one marketer’s blog that said I should post articles to my website at least three times a day for a month to see quick results. Three times a day was a stretch for me, so I started blogging daily instead, whereas I’d previously been blogging only once every two weeks or so. My ranking moved up to 3,678,600 after about ten days.

It was at approximately the 10-day mark when Chuck Bartok told me about a WordPress plugin that would help my ranking improve even faster. I installed the All in One SEO Pack to my blog right away. What a difference this plugin made! If you are a WordPress user as many of us are, you will want to install it and go back to edit all of your previous posts if you want your ranking to improve faster. This only takes a matter of seconds for each one. Add the title, a brief description, and the appropriate keywords.

In addition to blogging daily and adding keywords to the SEO plugin, I also joined a free blog syndication group on Facebook known as the Tribe Syndication Association. By becoming a member of this group, I agreed to comment on (syndicate) other members’ blogs on a given day of each week, and they do the same for me in exchange. It’s a great way to gain new traffic and start getting quality comments on your blog articles from like-minded people.

Now in the second week of June, my Alexa ranking for my main site stands at about 2,300,000. (Increase 1,378,600 in a week) My goal is to be in the top million by the end of this month. By blogging daily, working the plugin, and commenting on other blogs, I feel this is a completely reasonable goal. What are some methods that YOU have used to improve your rankings?

Sounds pretty easy and straight forward… so why do so many try to make it difficult?

I preach until I am blue in the face to my members that one of the easiest and most successful things that can be done online is to create a blog. It doesn’t matter what niche you are in… from ant farms to zoology, a blog will increase your traffic, increase your brand awareness (personal and business), and increase the number of customers to your product or service… guaranteed!

I own more than 20 domains online, and for each site I try to create and maintain a blog. It provides quality content for my members. Search engines love it when I update them… it fills there search results with more relative content for searchers, and it allows me to market to visitors and viewers. I get tickled when a visitor to one of my blogs joins or buys something from an ad I have placed in the sidebar, or from a review of a site I have recently joined.

You are only limited to your own imagination to what a blog can do for you. Yet, I find that many don’t want to take the time to maintain a blog. Some tell me they don’t know how, or can’t afford to have one… poppycock! I say take the time, learn how, and in 6 months ask yourself how you afforded not to have one!

The second issue is cost… the WordPress download is free. The only expense is the cost of your domain and a server. These days that’s cheap! You can go to godaddy.com and get yourdomainname.com for less than $10 a year, and server space to host your blog for less than $5 a month. Is $70 a year to much to have the opportunity to be looked up at as the professional in your niche. To have hundreds, maybe thousands of followers who recognize you as that professional?

Then there is this time issue… I try to spend about 30 minutes per week at each one of my blogs… I have several! If your just starting out, that’s nothing to have the opportunity to increase your customer base. To brand yourself as the expert in your field! When you update the content of your blog, add advertisements, or reply to the comments, your setting yourself up for success.

It’s my opinion that you can never have too many blogs. Well, at least enough that you can maintain. I have most of mine connected together through links. So, often a visitor at one will end up at another. I use my blogs to pass information to my members, to rant about industry news, to promote affiliate products and services, to present reviews on other sites and services, the list goes on and on… One of my blogs is the entire site!  A niche dating site, it is constructed entirely from a WordPress blog. It produces an income via affiliate programs and google ads!

As I said earlier, you are only limited to your own imagination when it comes to a blog. Use them… frequently and you will find yourself building success. It’s the First thing I teach my members to do… go build a blog!

Oh, and by the way… don’t be afraid to comment on other people’s blogs! You may be surprised at the amount of traffic you create by commenting. Why? Branding… if you post intelligent comments, visitors look at you in a professional manner. This creates a curiosity into what you do and promote… it’s a win win for everybody since the blog owner gets new content without doing any work!
